A distributor operates as a franchisee, with memberships being sold on royalty basis on behalf of Hotel Express/USA. There are three types of distributorships available:

1.     Exclusive distributor in a state

2.     Non-exclusive distributor

3.     Internet sales (Affiliate program)

or a combination of 1 and 3, or 2 and 3.

Exclusive distributors pay a license fee to obtain exclusivity in a state and then have a minimum performance demand. Contract periods are normally 5 years with renewals, with specific regulations for consequences of breach of contract, etc. An exclusive distributor may have several non-exclusive distributors or sub-agents work for him.

Non-exclusive distributors do not have monthly minimum performance demands. Upon signing a contract, a minimum purchase of 50 memberships must be made, and contracts can be terminated within 3 months.
