Hotel Express International was founded in the USA in 1987. Two years later Hotel Express was established in Europe, with focus on the Scandinavian countries. During the nineties, Hotel Express International was developed in the whole of Europe and other parts of the world.

In 1997 the owner of Hotel Express in Europe bought the worldwide rights to Hotel Express International from the US, and moved the Head Office from Dallas, Texas, to Kristiansand, Norway. 

In 2004, we opened our new Regional Office in New York with our partner Hotel Express LLC. Hotel Express LLC is a part of Accommodation Plus Inc. (API) and API has been in the hotel industry since 1984 mainly getting accommodation for airline crews.

The staff at the Head Office is working continuously to develop and improve our program, and quality is given highest priority in all respects. Not only do they work to increase the number of  member  hotels, but also to ensure that all hotels comply with the rules and honour the member discount.
