1. How long is the enrollment
period for the Member Hotel Program?
A: From the signed agreement is
received, it will take 1 or 2 days before you are listed in
our Web directory, which is available to all members. Hotel
Express distributors are also informed that you are included
and hence members will know when they want to make a reservation
in your region.

2. Are there any costs incurred
by hotels?
A: NO, absolutely none. Rates offered
to Hotel Express members are non commissionable and there
are no sign on fees, or annual charges of any kind. All that
is required by a hotel is the discount of 50% off standard
used rate – based on expected availability.

3. Do we always have to offer
50% discount? Is there no other level of discount?
A:
To keep the Hotel Express program as ‘clean’ as possible,
there is only one type of discount that is accepted; 50% off
standard used rate. This way all involved parties know what to
expect and what to offer – and no misunderstandings will occur.

4. How many room nights can
we expect from this cooperation?
A: The
prognoses of how many members going to one specific place
is hard for Hotel Express to predict. We are not able to keep
statistics of the reservations as a lot of members are making
their own reservations, directly with the establishment. Hotel
Express rates are not based on quantity, but on selling the
empty rooms. All reservations from Hotel Express should therefore
be valued as extra income, and not compared to larger companies
providing a given number of room nights.

5. Why would I offer my hotel
rooms at half the price?
A: We do
believe that offering a room at 50% off regular standard used rate
is better then leaving the room empty. Making 50% is better
than loosing 100%. As long as the discount is always given
subject to expected availability and you are the one to decide
your availability – you really have nothing to lose by this.
Hotel Express members are filling up empty rooms and nothing
else.

6. Can my establishment become
‘Hotel of the Month’ on your Travel
Portal?
A: Yes, of course! What we require
from you is that you include the Hotel Express’ logo as a
link on your web site. We do believe that visitors to your
site will also find valuable information on our Travel Portal
as we are rapidly growing and increasing the available information.
‘Hotel of the month’ has generated
reservations for hotels, so it is definitely worth a try,
and this additional advertising is also FREE of charge!

7. How do we recognize a Hotel
Express member?
A: All members have
their personalized gold card with the Hotel Express logo on
it. There is also a unique membership number and most cards
have an expiry date. If not, the cards must be assumed to
be invalid. Request to see the card upon arrival to be sure
that this person is entitled to the great discount. Feel free
to check the expiry date too, and should the card be invalid,
then you are kindly asked to withdraw it and return it to
Hotel Express.

8. How are reservations made?
A:
Reservations are made directly with hotels or through Hotel
Express’ reservation service. Hotel Express offer their members
assistance with making abroad reservations; hence a lot of
requests will come from Hotel Express distributors – on behalf
of their members. Many members make their own reservations,
so you need to be prepared for both kinds.

9. Should we accept reservations
through a travel agent?
A: No, you
don’t have to. Hotel Express have informed their members to
either make reservations through a Hotel Express office or
directly with the hotel. The reason is simply that a travel
agent not is entitled to a commission when a member gets the
Hotel Express rate.

10. What do we have to do during
a membership year?
A: All you have to
do is keep your existing staff and new employees informed
about the ongoing contract so that members are recognized
when they call in. If you change rates or facilities then
you are kindly asked to inform Hotel Express of this so that
we can change our database accordingly and offer our members
and your guests the most accurate information possible.

11. How long a period are
we obliged to commit for?
A: The agreement that is signed is valid for one
year, and renews automatically every year unless cancelled
by any of the two parties. It has a cancellation period of
3 months, so a hotel is free to cancel, seeing that it gives
Hotel Express reasonable time in order to remove your hotel
from the existing listings. Hotel Express can also cancel
if the hotel is not adhering to the paragraphs in the agreement
or any other situation occurs that does not comply with the
agreement.

12. Is online booking possible?
A: Yes, it is. Hotel Express reservations can be made directly at
your hotel through the GDS. There are four major providers of GDS (Global Distribution
System): Amadeus, Galileo, Sabre and Worldspan. If your hotel is not connected to
any of the above systems, then we cannot work with you through online booking.
