Brand New Map System

We would now like to inform you about the fresh release of our
newly developed 'Map search' feature on our web site.
This is a new and interactive way to make geographic searches
through interactive dragging and clicking, using your mouse in a
simple and straightforward manner.
The main reason for wanting to develop a new map system is to be
able to display a big and interactive map that marks cities where we
have hotels on a world wide scale. Cities displayed on the map will
be listed in red circles with white background, while hotels
displayed on the map will be listed in red circles with blue
background. Illustrated icons are shown under the map at all times
for your reference.
Our map search introduces other fun and interesting aspects
besides searching for hotels. You have different map types to choose
between, some covered better in popular geographic areas than others.
The types available are Map, Aerial and Hybrid. 'Map' is the
standard type that gives you the standard generic map look. 'Aerial'
displays an aerial photograph where available of the area selected.
Hybrid blends these two and shows you both at once. You control this
by moving your mouse around the map.
While the map search is mainly a tool for finding hotels, our map
comes with an integrated 'Local information' gadget to find local
resources like: Restaurants, Parking, Cinemas, Post offices, Tourist
attractions and ATMs. This information will be displayed on the same
level that hotels are shown where available. We will work to extend
this gadget in the future with more local resources and information.
Our map partner Multimap is one of the world's leading providers of
online mapping and location- based services. However, some locations
in the world will allways have better map coverage than others. Even
if the map should fail to introduce you to street level, you should
still be able to view hotels from the closest available zoom factor.
So check out the map system and locate our hotels. Just
follow the link below. As of today we are close to a 65% coverage of
all participating hotels.
