First of all we want to wish all of our
members a Merry Christmas and a Happy
New Year!
|
|
|
Year 2001 has been yet a good one for
Hotel Express International. A quick
glance at the figures reveals an
increase in number of participating
hotels of over 550, which equals a
growth of 18%! (And they say the travel
industry is experiencing a recession..)
We have now around 3500 member hotels
spread across 100 countries. In USA
alone we have over 150 new hotels, and
South Africa boasts 85 new hotels. Other
countries where new member hotels have
joined this year are Bulgaria, Italy,
Malta, New Caledonia, Pakistan, Poland,
Russia, South Korea, Switzerland,
Ukraine and many more. There are too many to list them
all this time, but starting with the
next newsletter we’ll be listing all
new hotels with name, location and
country.
Also several new national offices have
opened up this year, in countries such
as Bulgaria, Italy, New Caledonia,
Pakistan, South Korea, South Africa and
Switzerland. In addition, several new
offices are due to open in the beginning
of next year.
We look forward to continuing this
positive trend in 2002 so that we can
keep offering our members the world’s
best hotel discount deal.

many
rooms
is
one
card
valid
for?
Can
I
book
for
my
colleague
too?
One
card
is
required
per
room.
This
means
that
you
cannot
book
one
room
for
you
and
one
for
your
colleague,
the
second
person
needs
a
card
of
his
own.
Seeing
that
it
only
takes
2
or
3
nights
at
a
hotel
to
make
the
card
worth
its
own
cost
–
it
is
really
worth
recommending
Hotel
Express
to
all
your
colleagues.
-
Can
I
bring
my
family
and
get
the
Hotel
Express
rate?
Most
hotels
are
flexible
with
regard
to
accommodating
you
and
your
family
at
the
discounted
price
even
if
you
should
need
two
rooms.
-
How
can
I
make
my
reservation?
Reservation
request
can
either
be
placed
directly
with
the
hotel
you
wish
to
stay
at,
or
you
can
contact
the
office
where
you
purchased
your
membership.
They
will
assist
with
your
booking
and
send
you
a
written
confirmation.
Abroad
reservations
are
free
of
charge.
-
Will
I
get
the
50%
discount
on
all
my
reservations?
The
discount
is
always
given
subject
to
expected
availability
and
if
a
hotel
expects
to
be
fully
booked,
they
can
say
no
to
the
discount.
It
is
always
up
to
the
hotel
to
decide
whether
or
not
to
accept
it.
However,
statistics
from
Hotel
Express
reservation
service
show
that
between
80
and
85%
of
all
reservations
are
accepted
at
the
Hotel
Express
rates.
Getting
50%
discount
in
8
out
of
10
attempts
is
very
good,
and
a
lot
of
money
saved!!
