Situated
on St. Petersburg's main boulevard, Nevsky Prospect, the hotel lies
in the heart of the city and close to all major cultural and
historical attractions including The Hermitage and Russian
Museum.
Dating
from 1730, the building has a colourful history and is thought to be
one of the first erected in this part of the city. Cultural and
major public events, as well as revolution and war have played their
part in the building's past.

original interior was demolished, but the unique facade has been
preserved, retaining over 200 years of history. Inside, a glass dome
will allow daylight to light up the Atrium which is two storeys

including 17 suites and 2 disabled rooms. All rooms are in classical
style and is air-conditioned and feature a safe, mini-bar, Satellite
TV and radio, direct-dial telephones, fax and PC connections.
The
hotel has 7 meeting/function rooms from 6 up to 24 people with full
audio-visual equipment and facilities. Banquet and cocktails up to
150 people can be accomodated with a combination of restaurant and
adjoining dining rooms. There is a fitness center on the 4th floor (for
hotel guests only).
